Es un retrato magnífico porque desvela la serena altivez de la juventud de Lady Agnew, ajena, como todos nosotros, al futuro que le espera. Pero su belleza sobrevive en la tela, desde donde con su mirada nos dice: «mírame, sólo existe este momento, mírame como yo te miro a ti»."
