Strangers in the night, Exchanging glances Wond'ring in the night, What were the chances We'd be sharing love Before the night was through Something in your eyes
Was so inviting Something in your smile
Was so exciting Something in my heart
Told me I must have you Strangers in the night, Two lonely people We were strangers in the night Up to the moment when
We said our first hello, Little did we know
Love was just a glance away, A warm embracing dance away And ever since that night,
Until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance,
I know that there’s a chance
You won’t be leaving with me
And afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all,
By saying something stupid like: I love you
I can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies
You heard the night before
And though it’s just a line to you, for me it’s true
It never seemed so right before
I practice every day to find some clever lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think I’ll wait until the evening gets late
And I’m alone with you
The time is right your perfume fills my head,
The stars get red and oh the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all,
By saying something stupid like: I love you
(I love you, I love you,...)
There is nothing I can do Nothing I can say You'll do what you want to You'll go your own sweet way You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way Now I can talk to you serious I can talk to you nice But when it comes to love You won't take good advice You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way It doesn't matter what I say What I do or what I think You can lead a horse to water You can't make him drink You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way You'll go your own sweet Your own sweet way Me gusta la canción "My Way", cantada por Frank Sinatra, y ésta: "Your Own Sweet Way".
My Way Paul Anka & Frank Sinatra
And now, the end is near, and so I face, the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived, a life that's full, I've traveled each and every highway. And more, much more than this, I did it my way.
Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention. I did, what I had to do, and saw it through, without exemption. I planned, each charted course, each careful step, along the byway, and more, much more than this, I did it my way.
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew, When I bit off, more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up, and spit it out. I faced it all, and I stood tall, and did it my way.
I've loved, I've laughed and cried, I've had my fill; my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think, I did all that, and may I say not in a shy way, "Oh no, oh no not me, I did it my way".
For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things, he truly feels, And not the words, of one who kneels. The record shows, I took the blows... and did it my way! I did it my way.
